Real-World Testing with the World’s Most Trafficked Mammal

A groundbreaking initiative aimed at protecting pangolins through powerful collaboration; when innovative tracking meets wildlife rehabilitation pro's.

Why Pangolins?
The Temminck’s Pangolin (native to South Africa) is critically endangered and the world’s most trafficked mammal. A million were trafficked in the past year alone.
Terrasense is working with Umoya Khulula and conservationist Francois Meyer to support pangolin rehabilitation and rewilding using non-invasive tracking solutions.
Known for their high welfare and rehabilitation standards, the centre supports many animals, all at any given time, many of which are victims of human-wildlife conflict, poaching and other illegal wildlife activities.
Umoya Khulula have agreed to use our prototype the most trafficked animal in the world, Pangolins. The qualified team at the centre will ensure Pangolin safety is paramount at all times and work hand in hand with us to provide feedback and insights to enable us to create a tag that works for the animal and the team.
